European Solution Design Lead for the Finance Transformation project.

• Business Partnering - Support a procurement team of 50+ staff, with an annual spend of £450m across Europe & Emerging Markets.• Management Accounting - Analysis trends, Actuals vs Forecast, and provide business intelligence to support the variances, Sourcing and costing decisions, capital projects, supplier due-diligence, etc..• Forecasting - Create a budget and 3 year forecast for the above procurement team.

• Business Partnering - Support a procurement team of 40 staff, with an annual spend of £200m, e.g.sourcing and costing decisions, capital projects, supplier due-diligence, etc..• Management Accounting - Analysis trends, Actuals vs Forecast, and provide business intelligence to support the variances.• Forecasting - Create a budget and 3 year forecast for the above procurement team.

• Maintaining the financial integrity and management of all General Ledger accounts relating to sales, trade profit, working capital, commissions, inventory, accruals, pre-payments, provisions and fixed assets.• Manage and review all processes to comply with audit and Sarbox requirements, achieved successful sign off in October 2007 and year end December 2006• To produce and analyse business results for GSKE markets and ensure appropriate report to comply with statutory and internal reporting.• Implemented a review of the SB14 opening/closing balances to JDE balances and currently running a project to have these aligned by November month end.• Providing sound financial support to area and market finance functions.• To lead continuous development of business processes within the department with a view to minimise non-value adding activities and initiating solutions to manage financial risk.
