Deputy to the watch commander, Carries out fire and rescue duties in an emergency situation, directly supervise Crew Commanders and Fire fighters under the command of the Watch commander. Responsible for assisting in the management of all routine maintenance, test and inspections of fire fighting equipment and protection systems. Prepares, organizes and participates in exercises and lecture presentations as part of the departments maintenance of competence as required by the CAA. As part of the Maintenance of competence training regime undertakes Crew Commander and Fire fighter assessments. The Deputy watch commander will carry out the duties of the Watch Commander during any periods of Absence.

Undertake routine maintenance, test and inspections of firefighting equipment and protection systems. Undertake statutory examinations on a regular basis to enable the company to maintain compliance with CAA licensing requirements.
