Employed by Australian Industry Group as an Australian Government funded Industry Skills Adviser linking business with the Australian Government Industry Skills Fund (ISF).The ISF assisted business achieve new growth opportunities through workforce development prioritising businesses in the following industries; Advanced Manufacturing, Food and Agribusiness, Medical Technologies and Pharmaceuticals, Mining Equipment, Technology and Services, Oil, Gas and Energy Resources, Enabling Technologies and Services.In this role, I worked directly with business owners and operators to provide workforce planning advice to identify eligible growth opportunities that required new skills and support, and for which funding could be acquired. Key tasks were:• Generate industry leads through liaising with a variety of networks including Industry and Government forums as well as colleagues;• Conducted a skills gap analysis with the business identifying current and future workforce skilling requirements to achieve growth;• Developed a report for submission to the Department which included the; business profile, new growth opportunities, current and future workforce requirements, recommendations for innovative training solutions to meet emerging skills needs, information about other funding initiatives to support the business;• Advised and supported the client through the application for funding submission.This role concluded with the finalisation of the Industry Skills Fund program 31/01/2017.

As the Business Relations Manager I managed the Business and Enterprises Division of Career Keys reporting to the CEO. This role involves managing the provision of training and job search strategies to people who are considered by the Government to be long term unemployed. The programs operated under contract to the State Government Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation. This role also included responsibilities involving relationship development work, strategy development and financial management for the division.

As a Director of Retail Training Services of Australia I assisted to develop the RIQ as a cooperative venture between this company and North Point College of TAFE. The Institute operated as a commercial campus of the college commencing operations in September 1991. Within 15 months the venture achieved the two objectives of operating profitably, and becoming the largest retail RTO in Australia.
