Australian Innovation Research Centre

Each year the Australian Innovation Research Centre considers entries submitted by tertiary institutions throughout NZ and Australia to the Campus Review Excellence in Innovation Awards. These entries are case studies of tertiary management intiatives/projects, and are judged for their innovation and contribution to the education sector. Awards are announced each year at the Tertiary Education Management annual conference in Australia.

Wintec School of Trades' new trades training facility will be completed in early 2015, and will be the most modern trades training facility in Australasia. My role includes managing aspects of the development of evolved learning and teaching models and other preparation required for the School to be ready for this revolutionary new facility.Coordination of various operational and business matters and external contracts for the Wintec School of Trades.Management of functional teams within the School, including academic delivery in the Waitomo/Otorohanga Mayoral Taskforce Initiative, academic delivery in the Waikato Trades Academy, and Wintec's Distance Learning Unit.

Providing both off-the-shelf and customised training solutions to suit all clients large and small, in New Zealand and internationally.Prima Learning Works - Instructional design specialists, designing and producing educational training materials for industry training oganisations, tertiary institutions and private sector businesses.

Involved strategy, process and policy design, and operational implementation in a tertiary level vocational training institute.The role was managing the Business Development function and organisational capability-building projects for the fifth largest institute of technology in New Zealand. Included development of Wintec's innovation and commercialisation frameworks, implmentation of an insitutional relationship strategy, management of systems and processes for development of the Wintec product portfolio, initiation of and support for all categories of new business, contractual negotiation and pricing of vocational training services.
