Directed, scripted, and produced 3D animations for scientific visualization and education.Worked with scientists across many fields, formulating techniques for visualizing scientific data, designing and writing narration for expository 3D animations. Developed custom software to procedurally generate dynamic 3D models and/or motion from scientific data.Designed and implemented a Visual Programming Language for Animation (VPLA) (C++,OpenGL,X/Motif). Initially created as a research project, VPLA was truly ahead of its time, predating nodal editor features found in any commercial DCC software. VPLA was used internally at CTC for scientific visualization, was licensed by Mass.Illusion for use on two feature films, and by Animusic for our first client animation.Produced several internationally acclaimed scientific animations, showcased in the SIGGRAPH industry conference Electronic Theater, 5 years running.
