After spending 20 years in the casino industry in a challenging customer facing role, the opportunity arose for a career change which I grabbed with both hands and set about redefining myself. This was a more substantial shift than expected, it was quickly identified that I needed to broaden my skillset. With an interest in mathematics and an analytical mindset I began investing in myself gaining qualifications in Project Management and Business Analysis.My current focus is on managing the day-to-day running of the logistics systems for Kier’s largest civil engineering project. This encapsulates issue management and resolution, managing the relationship with the developers, working closely with the supplier’s support and development team, with the aim to continually improve the system currently in use including where practical to automate processes creating efficiencies and cost saves across the business unit.I have extensive experience with stakeholder management, able to get the best out of my team regardless of the constraints or pressures the business is subject to.I pride myself on ability to remain un-wavered in the most pressing and challenging of situations enabling structured thinking to identify the path to resolution.I have a personal ethos of honesty and integrity with a strong work ethic to achieve the best for an organisation and its people.I believe in continuous personal development to grow and develop my knowledge and experience, taking it upon myself to learn new skills that would benefit my current role or a future prospective role. These include Google Cloud studies and a continuous interest in the Python programming language.
