I still hold that record.1997 I Was given the distribution rights from Ducati Italy for the sole distribution of Ducati in Russia. Spent a lot of time and money there but the Russian Mafia had other ideas. The Hungry Duck in Moscow made it just about worth while… That’s another story that’s unprintable!1998 FAA certified Jet Helicopter pilot.2012. I Developed an Electric submarine business in Key West Florida which I called “HMS Discovery” and sold the business within 12 months , or should I say swapped the business for a 2 bedroom apartment in Miami.

In time they purchased substantial volumes of machines inPoland, France, UK, Germany, Holland, Johannesburg, Tanzania, Qatar and Kuwait. These companies went on to sought their own internal sub dealers throughout these territories.The largest single order of 110 machines was through a government contract in South Africa which I originally set up and then met through a conference I organized in Dubai, where I invited delegates from several countries to achieve these contracts and subsequent sales. That single order was $1.6 million. -

Managing DirectorSegway Uk Feb 2003 - Mar 2012During my motorcycle business I developed electric vehicles from design to construction.I took a Daihatsu one ton truck and removed the engine, gearbox, etc etc, and installed an electric motor and all components to convert the truck to an electric vehicle. This was in 1997 and way before the electric vehicle market started taking hold. I had so much interest in the UK that it was picked up by PG+E in San Francisco, California. They invited me and paid for my truck to enter the Auto Show in San francisco which I won best electric vehicle of show beating ford, GM and other entrants.From there I requested the distribution rights for Segway and started setting up dealerships sales and service in the UK. This business is profitable and successful today.

The company had lost over$400 million in VC monies in 10 years. It's best loss was $9 million in any one year. My role as CEO was to the get the company to profit. By the end of 2010 I turned a profit of $1.6 million and the following year a similar number. Jimi was killed in Sept 2010 and in March 2012 I left the company due to breakdown of relationship with Jimmies estate. We settled out of court for my promised success payment.

I had a handful of spare parts and went door knocking to motorcycle shops in the UK. All accounts, calls, warranties and all aspects of the business I carried out myself. After 6 months got a book keeper in, to give me more time on the road and moved into new premises 12 months later.After ten years I employed 19 staff and had over 200 dealers. I sold out to Piaggio in 2003.
