Provide assistance to the Deputy Public Works Director in the development and implementation of policies, programs, practices, and procedures required to lead and manage the Operations Divisions. Responsible for administrative and operational functions as assigned by the Deputy Public Works Director. Act as the Deputy Director in his absence. Directly responsible for leading the Stormwater Superintendent, Rights of Way/Trees Superintendent, and Public Works Administrative Staff. Assist in the development and implementation of $7M operating budget. Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the Central Business District to include working closely with Economic Development, Community Development and Public Information & Events. Develop performance standards; ensure the enforcement of policies and procedures by all subordinate leaders. Represent the city during litigation cases and employee grievance hearings. Meet with citizens on behalf of the Public Works Department. Perform as a mentor to mentees in the City’s Leadership Development Program. Serve as the Public Works’ lead in emergency situations to include all natural and manmade disasters.

Responsible for directing the repairs, maintenance, and inspection, as well as all other operations, of the City of Greenville Storm Water Operations. Coordinates work assignments and supervises operations staff, manages the division budget. Serves as the City’s Asphalt Manager, serving as the liaison between paving crews and South Carolina Department of Transportation. Serves as the City’s Winter Emergency Operations and Logistics Manager, coordinating ice and snow removal, overseeing maintenance of snow removal equipment, managing contracts, and serving as the contact for FEMA and other organizations. Manages special build and construction projects, and serves as Flood Plain Manager for the City.
