J. Wayne Pierce was born in Ocilla, Georgia and graduated from Wofford College and the Duke University School of Law where he served as a member of the Duke University School of Law Judicial Board. Mr. Pierce was admitted to th practice of law in Georgia in 1972. He began his practice with the Atlanta law firm of Nall, Miler & Cadenhead. The litigation section of that firm merged in 1977 with another existing firm, creating the firm of Hurt, Richardson, Garner, Todd & Cadenhead which grew to approximately 100 lawyers. Mrv Pierce was a litigation partner at that firm through 1981 when he established his own firm.Mr. Pierce’s practice is concentrated primarily in the field of civil litigation and involves a wide variety of matters including commercial litigation, product liability and tort actions, and medical malpractice. He has successfully litigated cases throughout Metro Atlanta and its surrounding counties on behalf of individuals, non-profits, and businesses large and small. In addition to personally handling cases in litigation as lead trial counsel, Mr. Pierce also advises clients on risk management matters including self-insurance programs, risk retention levels, claims management matters and risk analysis.Mr. Pierce is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Atlanta and American Bar Associations, and is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts of Georgia, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the Lawyers Club of Atlanta.
