As Treasurer & member of the Board of Directors, responsible for financial management & governance of all financial assets for the Calgary Search & Rescue Association. The Board of Directors serves as the governing body for the Association, developing policy, procedures & providing governance & direct management of a variety of committees within the organizational framework. CALSARA is a non-profit association providing GSAR services in Calgary & the surrounding area. CALSARA functions within the city through a close working relationship with the Calgary Police Service, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, CEMA & the Calgary Fire Department. Providing search & rerscue services, including technical rescue in a variety of specialist areas. CALSARA is comprised of more than 100 operational and associate members. Operational members are highy trained in a wide variety of techniques & specialized skills & supject to continuous, ongoing training to constantly ugrade and imprve upon the skillsets available to the citizens of Calgary & surrounding area.

Volunteer Search & Rescue tech. Both teams are completely volunteer groups under tasking by either the local Police Agency or the R.C.M.P. When called out, team members respond to assist in locating missing persons, searching for evidence & assisting Police, Fire & Disaster Services in a wide variety of roles. SAR Volunteers are highly trained & motivated citizens who dedicate their time, resources, equipment & expertise to help those in potentially dangerous circumstances.
