Promoted to Program director in 2006, with the primary responsibility to create a manufacturing facility in Mexico.Created the plant layout, hired all the contractors required as well as hiring the management, operations, manufacturing and quality staff. Identified, qualified and developed relations with local suppliers for critical components, sheet metal, printed circuit board assemblies. Responsible for setting up and managing Degree Controls manufacturing facility in Tecate Mexico.Spearheaded and drove the development of the operations processes, toward creating a plant focused on quality and efficiency, utilizing ISO 9000-2000, 5-S as well as Kai San processes and Toyota type production meetings.Achieved ISO registration in 2008 and were approved by our largest customer as the manufacturer of our most critical product, an IPC class 3 product used in the medical field.

Developed the quality, documentation and manufacturing systems with a focus toward excellence and customer satisfaction. As part of the initial team, employee #2, took on the role of mechanical designer and program manager for our first fan tray projects. Received ISO9001 registration in July of 1998, received GOLD supplier award from Lucent in 1999.

Establish the quality function and to lead the company to focus on quality, documentation and quick response to customers. These actions alleviated the loss of business due to quality issues and saved a major Digital contract. These efforts reduced in-process damaged goods from 45% to less than 2%; field failures fell to below 1 tenth of a percent. Secured major contracts with AT&T, Lucent and IBM and created an ISO compliant quality system
