Category Advisor for the Beer Category for five Kroger retail divisions, which are two of the top four divisions in the country. Performed post ad analysis on Kroger’s weekly advertisements. Examined each ad package and compared the sales data to the prior year. Oversaw price adjustments, price point strategies and price elasticity. Managed package selection based on Kroger’s and ROM (Rest of Market) sales trends. Evaluated the competition’s ad results and measured them against Kroger’s results and made recommendations based on findings. • Achieved total beer sales over $490 million with an increase of 5.3% from prior year.• Created a Best Practice template for measuring ad results that is used today for every Kroger Retail Division.• Proposed changes to ad package selection strategies, which would improve market distribution by 50%.• Changed the beer segments of the ad buckets targeting different consumers, which increased sales to a wider range of customers.• Analyzed retailer sales and performance information from Market6, IRI and Feature Vision that provided recommendations that grew sales as follows:o Fry’s Total Beer Category dollars up 7.6%.o Smiths Total Beer dollars up 5.2%.o Nashville +5.2%, Louisville +3.5% and Kroger Central +2.4%. • Ensured retailers and AB prices were competitive in the markets for both Ad pricing and Base pricing.• Made price recommendations that increase margins for the retailer. • Facilitated the sell in of corporate marketing plans to Fry’s and Smiths local Beer Category Planners. • Managed the successful implementation of AB’s marketing plans by continued monitoring and tracking of wholesaler’s execution and sales results.

Greater Salt Lake City Area

Analyzed retailer and market sales data to develop schematics and product assortment recommendations. Coordinated with wholesalers and Key Account Managers on Shelf Space and Product placement strategies. Developed store reset schedules and supervised the implementation of the resets. Utilized JDA Space Planning, Apollo and dunn humby (84.51°). Worked with Large and Small format retailers and wholesalers in Utah, Idaho, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Wyoming and Montana. • Grew Anheuser-Busch space percent by 1.8% during a flat sales period in Smiths Foods with 48.7% of the beer cooler. Sold in new package placements and increased current package distribution. • Convinced Kroger General Office to keep Bud Light in the number one Premium Beer cooler position in Smiths stores while Miller or Coors dominated this position at other locations throughout the United States.
