After gaining experience with computers, software, working in teams and with children, I have decided to retrain to become a Design & Technology Teacher at Secondary Level. My course started with a weeks placement at a Primary School to gain an understanding of how and what primary school children are taught. The course at Cambridge University has a blend of lectures specifically for subject, teaching and behaviour and then placement in two different schools.

After completing 12 days of training, building shelter, finding water, 1st Aid and lighting fires I qualified as a Camp Leader. The Bushcraft Company offer outdoor adventure to a variety of groups. Mainly private schools were on my camps ranging in numbers from 20 to 85. The attendees would learn identification of plants, trees and animal tracks. Also how to find and collect water, set traps, build and light fires, prepare food and construct shelters for sleeping in.

Employed at Adare Advantage working as part of a close team in a busy studio. Using Illustrator with Esko plugins, Automation Engine 12 and Photoshop. I helped to build new workflows to speed up the processing of artwork and utilise the power of the Esko rip. I worked on various brands owned by Johnson & Johnson such as Listerine, PizBuin, Reach, Le Petit Marseille, Roc, Carefree, OB and Neutrogena.

I have an accomplished knowledge of flexographic printing and of Mac / PCs professional design applications.Excellent communication skills have allowed me to efficiently convey creative ideas to others from different sectors, and enabled me to build a strong customer database. Liaising closely with customers to understand their print process, has allowed me to create design briefs and therefore efficiently manipulate designs to become press ready, saving time and costs.
