The Maple Leaf Housing Centre works in cooperation with key government and industry stakeholders in other countries to ensure the successful transfer of Canadian construction technologies, standards and practices for the housing sector, thereby resulting in an increased in-country capacity to provide high quality housing.The Maple Leaf Housing Centre’s international experience includes projects in Brunei Darussalam, Chile, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Russia, South Korea, and Taiwan.

Wayne has 27 years of experience in educational management and training including administration, curriculum design, business development, delivery methodology, training needs analysis, skills assessment, train the trainers, and technical training ranging from engineering to financial management. He has converted industry and business needs into practical skills-based programs, having been involved at international and national levels in project management and technical training.Mr. Stevens has extensive experience in the area of sustainable housing. From 2000 – 2010 Wayne was the Director of the Canadian Housing & Construction Centre at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT). During this time he was responsible for the AFRESH Home, a housing demonstration project showcasing some of the most innovative and sustainable ideas in housing.
