During this time I gained extensive process experience, being involved in many large water treatment projects in Australia and Asia as both the Design Manager and Commissioing Manager.My past experience has been broad based with a strong technical understanding of all engineering disciplines in water treatment. 'Hands-on' site experience has given me valuable feedback for input into the design and construction of plants, as well as a thorough appreciation of an Operator's requirements.I have mentored many younger engineers and passed on knowledge from my vast experience.

It consisted of an upgrade to the existing thickeners, transfer of thickened sludge to storage tanks for further dewatering by centrifuges to produce a dry solids cake (up to 250 tonnes/day) which is transported from site for landfill.Responsibilities included the preparation of the process calculations, hydraulic profile and P&ID’s., review of detailed design, and equipment selection..

The West Bangkok Project, Thailand supplies water to the provinces of Nakhon Pathon and Samut Sakhon. The project included the design, supply, construction, testing and commissioning of a 336 ML/d water treatment plant, located approximately 70 km north-west of Bangkok, and two remote reservoirs and pumping stations, located west and south-west of Bangkok. It was executed under a Build Own Operate Transfer (BOOT) model with an operating concession of 30 years.The process involved a river intake, pre-aeration and rapid mixing, FB clarification, gravity filtration, chlorine disinfection, pH correction and clear water storage. Bulk water transmission pumps and mains connect to two service reservoirs, located 20 km and 50 km from the plant. Distribution pumps at the reservoirs connect to approximately 1000 km of local piping networks. Responsible for the design of the treatment plant and pump stations, which was carried out in Thames Water, Clayton Office and site commissioning, which involved co-ordination of a multi-disciplined multinational commissioning team.The client was a JV between Thames Water and CH Karnchang, and the total project value (including distribution pipelines) was $280 million.
