Supply Chain Specialist
CurrentCreate, monitor and maintain all stock transfers for replenishment purposes for all domestic warehouses as well as for Canadian & Mexican branches. Evaluate, analyze and adjust material master files and settings, inventory levels, future and past stock requirements in order to ensure timely, efficient and accurate stock transfers. Work directly with purchasing department to monitor usage, stock levels and raw material demand for Chemetall production facilities in MI., CA. and Mexico. Schedule and monitor all truckload shipments with appropriate carriers, and evaluate on-time performance and billing accuracy. Monitor and facilitate on-time order fulfillment for Chemetall US. Process incomplete, damaged and missing shipments, fill replacement orders, authorize returns and file cargo claims accordingly. Monitor claim status and reimbursements. Calculate daily freight charges as required. Conduct procurement activities for various finished goods & raw materials originating from Europe & Asia as required, as well as monitor & adjust SS, lead time & procurement settings for said foreign materials. Support team members in a variety of tasks related to meeting department and company goals such as: Carrier freight rate negotiations, contract negotiations & performance evaluations for 7 outside warehouse locations, (including VCAR Reporting & training as required) quarterly & annual inventory audits, freight quotes & monthly customer freight billing, coordinating expedited freight shipping and weather monitoring for purposes of maintaining required equipment & carrier services to allow for safe & efficient freight transfers & stock availability as forecasted.
