No one is born with the knowledge and expertise to succeed in their field of interest. From personal and professional experience, it has been a recurring pattern that in order to have a successful career you have to take the time to improve yourself, find motivation that continuously drives you to act, and persevere through adversity.Throughout my career, I have been one to continuously strive to embody those 3 qualities. For a security engineer, such as myself, this isn’t just a goal but a lifestyle which is needed to stay relevant in our field of work. Whether it’s going for a postgraduate degree or having a little more patience, I firmly believe that any improvement big or small makes for a better engineer. I am not afraid to take on any task big or small because I am self-motivated to learn any and all aspects of networking and have the mindset that any task is an opportunity to do just that. How I deal with adversity is pretty simple: break down the issue, gain traction on the resolution by solving smaller problems, and maintain your resolve throughout the entire process.
