Engaging in the practice of teaching has helped me to develop skills applicable to wide variety of fields: data analysis; programming; scientific inquiry and research; public speaking; project management; and lifelong learning. Through custom software solutions, I have applied methods of analysis to assess how well my instruction improved student learning outcomes. For example: through the curriculum I am given, I design experiments, exercises, and assessments that allow students to demonstrate growth in skills and understanding.By independently learning multiple programming languages and applying rigorous data analysis, I have learned to target specific outcomes, and can shape the growth of these projects over the short and long term. Critical to these skills and habits are a love of lifelong learning, which enable me to adapt quickly to new roles and expectations. I believe I bring a unique skill set to the table, and relish the opportunity to grow further as I join new teams and contribute to their own goals and objectives.

  I have taught courses at a variety of levels, ranging from special education Physics First to calculus-based AP Physics classes. Over that time, I have developed strong working relationships with colleagues in a variety of fields, be that in the history, mathematics, art, or music departments; we have collaborated together on a number of lessons and ideas to develop cross-curricular relationships as we challenge students to engage with real-world scenarios. I have also developed a suite of software solutions tailored to the needs of my students which allows me to transform my instruction. Using data analytics, lessons can be data-driven, and focused through the lens of Next Generation Science Standards to challenge students to become scientifically-literate, lifelong learners, able to face the challenges of the 21st century. I believe I have what it takes to offer students challenge at any level, and give them the support they need to find success.
