Co-founder of the Open Technology Center, a non-profit organization whose mission is to facilitate research, development, evaluation, training, public-private collaboration and technology transfer of open source software and other open technologies to support national defense and homeland security objectives for federal, state and local government agencies.Responsible for development and operational oversight of program activities associated with federal government agencies including: U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Department of Defense and Department of Justice. In first year of operation was responsible for helping secure three federal contracts (two as prime contractor, one as subcontractor) with value of more than $2.5M.Serves as liaison with federal Congressional Delegation, state and local elected officials and other public service representatives.Serves as organizational liaison and member of Board of Directors for the Area Development Partnership, regional economic development authority.

Commander of Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center, the nation's largest military reserve component training center during mobilization for Global War on Terrorism. As installation Commander, managed full-time workforce in excess of 3,700 civilian and military personnel with annual operating budget of $65M with local economic impact of $1B annually. Responsible for oversight of all plans, training, operations, mobilization, construction, security, and community relations at Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center during largest mobilization since World War II.Established INNOVATE Camp Shelby economic development initiative to facilitate public-private collaboration and economic development investment at Camp Shelby after mobilization.Led formation of Southeastern Defense Alliance, a consortium of base and installation commanders from across the state of Mississippi to facilitate regional, inter-agency collaboration and economic development cooperation. Worked directly with the congressional delegation and senior leaders across the spectrum of government and business to market and insure proper resources were available for military and community partnering.
