After a 25 year career in sales mgt & marketing for a billion dollar company, it wasn't until I got laid off in 2007 that I started chasing my real dreams of being an Inventor. 4 years later & my journey has taken me on the Evening Chicago TV NEWs, multiple guest host appearances on QVC, several Business Radio Talk Shows, articles in the Atlanta Constitution and a featured role in the National Television Commercial for LegalZoom.com. In 2010 I was selected the "Inventor of the Year" at the Electronic Retailer Associations Trade Show for my New product "The Steamie". I love the hotdogs you get at sporting events, they taste so much better than the hotdogs you make at home. Why? It turns out that most commercially prepared Hotdogs are served on steamed buns, but when we cook hotdogs at home we put them on cold buns right out of the bag. I thought to myself, “I'm already boiling the hotdog why can't I steam the buns at the same time?” and that how my 1st product "The Hotdog Ez Bun Steamer" was born. Its currently sold in Grocery Stores across America "The Steamie" was born after my customers asked me to make a bigger unit. I added heat resistant silicone finger pads, changed the cross shaped opening to keyhole shape to better hold sauce dishes, incorporated a pop up tortilla steamer to steam extra large tortillas. Finally I added a clip-on steaming basket for smaller vegetables that also doubles as a deep fryer. The Steamie converts you ordinary pot into a multi level rack & basket steamer plus deep fryer all in one. The Steamie steams everything from tortillas to Lobster, peas to claims plus it deep fries your favorite foods too. Look for it on QVC Do you have a dream? Most of us do, my dream was always to be an inventor. I enjoy talking to other inventors, I find their creatively highly motivational and inspirational.
