Supervised a team consisting of engineers, geoscientists and software developers.Performed installation of Source Rock Analyzer instruments in laboratories around the globe including Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Egypt, Canada, Malaysia, China, Russia, Germany and Norway. Organized and conducted technical workshops and training for clients and internal personnel related to various instrumentation including the Source Rock Analyzer, Thermal Extraction Pyrolysis Inlet, Cryo Focusing Device and the MSSV inlet. Co-authored “Onsite pyrolysis – using new real-time technology to evaluate reservoir properties” which was presented at the 24th International Meeting on Organic Geochemistry (IMOG), September 6th to 11th, 2009 in Bremen, Germany.

In charge of new instrument development as well as support for existing systems within Humble together with international customer locations. Responsibilities at Humble encompassed developing instruments and software applications. Developed MACT10 Compositional Kinetics instrument, Cryogenic instrumentation and the Source Rock Analyzer (equivalent of Rock-Eval®) series of instruments.Rock-Eval® is a registered trademark of IFP

Worked for the original manufacturer of the Rock-Eval® instrument (Delsi, Inc.) covering the Western Hemisphere of the world for all Installation and service related issues. Later David became the Manager of the service department for Delsi-Nermag handling Rock-Evals®, Gas Chromatographs and research grade quadruple Mass Spectrometer (GCMS) support. He specialized in computer data systems which included the Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) PDP-8 and PDP-11 minicomputers. Designed and programmed the first Rock Eval® Data System, REDS which was used to capture, store and generate text and graphic geochemical reports.Rock-Eval® is a registered trademark of IFP
