I've recently moved from operations excellence to a role more on the corporate quality side, but my work remains much the same. I am responsible for an ever changing project mix that includes Six Sigma, lean, and continuous improvement projects. I am responsible for an ever changing project mix that includes Six Sigma, lean, and continuous improvement projects. I have taught and mentored junior belts in six sigma and lean principles, facilitate workshops, and lead/participate in project teams with plant operations, CAE, engineering, changeover and materials which help improve product quality and delivery. Examples of projects I have worked on are 1 month in service warranty, air leak testing, chassis paint defect reduction, and shop floor management improvements. I am also currently leading an ongoing initiative to reduce our one month in service warranty rates where I coordinate efforts with all our manufacturing plants to improve initial customer satisfaction. I use statistics and science to find and analyze problems and iterative improvements that focus on process and mindset to fix them. As a shared services architect I worked with various people across Daimler to develop standards and shared services for things such as SharePoint, Wiki and other collaboration tools. I also spent some time back filling our data architect until a replacement was located.

As the BI Manager I was responsible for leading the team responsible for developing our data warehouse and reporting solutions. In this role I fostered a distributed solution for embedding analytic and reporting services within teams and encouraged the use of a variety of tools for different applications.

In this role I managed 200+ contractors and full-time employees. Each of these individuals was assigned as a developer or other type of team member to one or more projects. My job was to locate the right talent for each task and work closely with project managers to ensure skilled workers were available to meet each projects timelines.
