TIP is a phenomenal program for academically gifted middle and high school students. It runs a residential academic camp at several campuses. I attended the camp in the summers of 2001, 2002 and 2003 and had the privilege to return to work at the camp in the summers of 2007, 2008 and 2009.Summer 2007 and 2008: TA for "Controversial Politics: Revolution and Terror," a history and political theory class. I assisted with lesson preparation and course logistics and taught hour-long evening sessions.Summer 2009: Academic Program Assistant, an administrative position tasked with program management, logistics, academic development, and residential life programs during the H1N1 Swine Flu epidemic summer.
