As a data scientist, I'm passionate about exploring and modeling with data to determine where its strengths are, what its gaps are, and how to use it to solve challenging problems. But more than that, I love mentoring and teaching others how they can do the same. For over 7 years I have attacked and solved difficult problems in a variety of fields, from healthcare and education to logistics and sports. I use my mathematical foundations to better understand when machine learning and statistical analyses are best suited for a problem and when they would lead to false results that could steer leadership in the wrong direction. I use my love of teaching to create better visualizations that communicate answers more clearly and definitively as well as meet people where they're at instead of dragging them into the land of technical jargon. And I'm an advocate for repeatable and self-service solutions that deliver the right information to stakeholders to empower them to make effective choices.
