The project I was developing here is a SAAS application that connects clients with insurance agents. This was a replacement for a legacy system that had been in place for over a decade. The biggest challenge was carefully migrating existing the existing user base and their data to the new system without incident. This company also has a myriad of existing sales websites written in a variety of frameworks that also require varying levels of support. My responsibilities also included dev ops work, deploy scripts, server maintenance, server setup, and creating a monitoring framework.- Data Migration from Legacy to Modern Systems- Support of sites on a variety of frameworks (Wordpress, Rails, NodeJS, etc..)- Development of new Rails based sales system

CK develops software and websites for a myriad of businesses, from tiny Wordpress sites for mom and pop shops, to large hyper custom Ruby on Rails applications for large international companies. My involvement was mostly on the Ruby on Rails portion of our development, including:- Software architecture- Client management- Deployment strategy development- Infrastructure configuration

Essentially we developed custom Drupal/ExpressionEngine websites for small to medium sized businesses. I worked as a core developer and was involved in all stages of development from the initial planning stages with clients to the development of action plans, site development, up to the final launch of each project. This was a small firm, thus we all were required to be a jack-of-all trades. I was tasked with building and maintaining company and client linux servers, site development and development of custom modules required for each project. We generally maintained 3-4 projects concurrently and typically had daily contact with clients.
