• Detailed experiment-based research on fire-barrier material flammability behavior at space environment.• Reengineered Gravitational Influences on Flammability and Flame Spread Test (GIFFTS) apparatus, a variable atmosphere vacuum chamber system which was used by NASA. • Designed data acquisition system, introduced LabVIEW to build user interface to control ignition and monitor oxygen percentage, real time pressure, camera recording and standard output.• Analyzed test data with OriginPro and Matlab, obtained smooth boundaries • Deeply investigated flammability of Nomex® as flame barrier material, which had a very surprising flame behavior at varied atmospheres, determined low oxygen index in pressure vs. oxygen concentration plots, obtained flammability map across pressure domain in between 6 to 18 psia. • Practical application in future spacecraft and in current aircraft baggage component, sponsored by UL.

• Bachelor degree graduation thesis as Structural Design and Mechanical Analysis of Sensor of Energetic Electron, sensor successfully serviced on China-Brazil Earth Resources satellite.• Conducted the designing of sensor system with Pro/ENGINEER, included 2-D sketch drawings, 3-D parts generation and module assemble, minimalized sensor total weight below 195g.• Performed the full set analysis on model with ANSYS Workbench, simulated for shape optimization, mechanical structural analysis, modal analysis, response spectrum analysis and thermal analysis, under the strict high acceleration and vibration rocket launching condition.

• Taught on principles of navigation and its application on spacecraft, including orbit determination and flight path control.• Utilized navigation data which included velocity, distance and angular information, validated with Doppler and range information in a model of a trajectory, then updated the model to match the original measurements, finally fulfilled the solution to the orbit determination.• Executed trajectory correction maneuvers (TCM), which involved the computation of velocity vector required to correct for desired trajectory.
