Los Angeles Trial Lawyers' Charities (LATLC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose purpose is to make a positive difference in the quality of life for people within the greater Los Angeles Area, focusing on issues related to education, children, survivors of abuse, persons with disabilities, and homelessness, by providing financial assistance and volunteer service to groups in need. As Director of Operations, I helped prepare and run major fundraising events (annual gala, golf tournament, basketball tournament, holiday event, and more) and monthly community service projects, managed our social media accounts, and provided general administrative support. I still volunteer with LATLC, and am passionate about their mission not only because it empowers and makes a positive difference in the quality of life for many people, but also because the service projects allow me to personally connect with my local community and continually humble me to do more.

I did my 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2013. Being the yin to my legal yang, I taught yoga in Century City to legal professionals once a week between 2013 - 2019. I now teach occasionally and run a health and wellness page: @balancedwithbenefits

Convened and managed mediations, arbitrations and discovery/judicial references for several retired judges and attorneys (Hon. Jacqueline A. Connor (Ret.), Hon. Stephen M. Lachs (Ret.), Hon. Eli Chernow (Ret.), Ralph O. Williams III, Esq., Cynthia F. Pasternak, Esq., and Caroline C. Vincent, Esq.). I liaised between the judges/attorneys (neutrals) and clients, convened cases from their introduction through to their resolution, supported business development, maintained case files and all relevant information, and used my eye for detail when serving documents and in correspondence (my nickname was “eagle eyes”).

Assisted in legal research related to plaintiff's medical malpractice cases. Prepared, filed, and served documents and pleadings, provided support at trial as (non-legal) second chair and assisted with jury selection, summarized depositions, was entrusted to individually attend and take notes at appointments with expert witnesses, and worked on oppositions for summary judgment by marshalling evidence for separate statements.2012 - 2013, 2019 - 2020

Enthusiastic and caring tutor who worked with children aged kindergarten through sixth grade in the development of basic reading and math skills.In high school I volunteered weekly at the Calabasas Library, where I would tutor one to two elementary and middle school students per week. In college I privately tutored elementary school students.

Effectively processed data for the benefit of the Warren Weiss Company in market research, managed the ever-growing information in the company using the acquired skills and experience, completed the assigned tasks of storing information with the help of computers in a fixed time duration, and used good keyboard speed and the ability to understand information fast.In 2012 I wrote a report for Travel Weekly based on the data entry I processed for them. Answered phones and acted as liaison to help clients in need, gained knowledge of legal terminology and procedures, used Microsoft Word to write letters and MS Excell to efficiently input and organize data like client phone numbers.

Communicated with external contacts to properly handle direction of business relations and distribution of company literature, maintained artist websites, helped coordinate events and answered phones.

Assisted customers in sales, stocks merchandise, accurately recorded sales and kept the store clean and organized.

Provided assistance to the teacher with duties including keeping class records, maintaining roll call, attendance record maintenance, grading homework, grading papers, recording student scores, and supervising students when they were on the playground.

Coordinated activities and supervised elementary school-aged kids at a traditional summer day camp in Tarzana, CA. I have an enthusiastic and upbeat personality, positive attitude, ability to teach children, am able to work enjoying with teaching crafts and activities, have good communication and customer skills and can communicate via phone, email, and hand written documents, have an ability to work within team environment, and am able to do other duties as assigned.
