Lead a Data Engineering team of ~30 to:1. Build a data platform that synthesizes TV Set-Top-Box viewership data for advertising planning, targeting and attribution. Fully on AWS, mainly using Spark, Docker, Lambda, Elastic Beanstalk, Kinesis.2. Build data backend for TV and digital ad-serving systems. Migrated from on-prem to AWS. Spark, Kafka, Golang, Docker.

Lead two Engineering teams:Data Engineering:* Build next-gen digital advertising Big Data platform for FreeWheel MRM product, stream processing TBs of data per day and support multiple data products from hourly ad logs to BI analytics. Technologies used in this platform include Hadoop, Kafka, Presto, Golang, Docker, etc.* Build a new cloud-native data platform for Comcast linear TV viewership data in AWS. Batch process TBs of data per day and support multiple data products for TV ad planning and evaluation. Technologies used in this platform include AWS, Spark, Docker, AWS Batch/ECS, Data Pipeline, Elastic Beanstalk, etc.Video Integration Engineering:* Build player SDK (FreeWheel AdManager) to enable apps and players effectively communicate with Ad Server and handle ad playback including rich-media ad formats such as VPAID* Oversee all app/player integrations for FreeWheel clients, ensure integration qualities, and enforce best practices.

Oversee Engineering processes and metrics.Set, maintain and tune processes that coordinate the end-to-end software development process between Product, Engineering and other teams.Maintains communication with department leaders to ensure continuous improvements of development methodology.Lead analysis of engineering activities including development and field escalation. Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership teams.

Manage the high level directions and initiatives of a global Service Engineering team, which includes a Tech Support branch and a specialized Video Integration Services branch and locates at US/China/UK offices.Supervise and coach team leads. Hands on hiring and staffing. Coordinate with other departments and teams to improve the inter-department efficiency.

Grow and manage a Technical Support Engineering team across the US, UK and China while continue to manage the Video Integration Services team.Set up the technical support system (Zendesk) from scratch and establish the technical support and escalation workflow.Launched the client-facing documentation center and keep maintaining it.

Manage a highly technical team to guide video integration projects with clients.Work with client facing teams to analyze client requirements and design technical solutions.Cooperate with Product and Engineering to drive product improvements and new initiatives based on feedbacks collected from fields.

Lead the development of FreeWheel's video advertisement integration SDK on Flash(ActionScript3), iOS, Android, HTML5 and Silverlight platforms. Design and implement several core components.
