After 7 years employed with this DMO and being submerged in several different roles to help develop those programs I was asked to develop the Tour & Travel market. Promotion, education and selling the brand of Loudoun, VA: DC's Wine CountryGenerating business and developing relationships from the leisure tourism markets including international receptive operators, international and domestic tour operators and travel agents, AAA offices, event planners and related markets. Marketing and promoting individual and group travel packages through trade shows and sales calls while exploring new opportunities to market the destination through leisure business and events. Researching and development of the international tour market in cooperation with the state and regional marketing organizations. Maintaining ongoing support and dialogue with all groups/committees related to tourism development; representing Visit Loudoun at industry board and committees including state tourism organizations, ABA, NTA and US Travel. Educating and engaging Loudoun's tourism industry on how to package, market and sell to the international and domestic client.I have extensive knowledge and involvement in the tourism industry and a deep passion for the work and promotion of Loudoun, VA: DC's Wine Country.

Sales component; responsible for marketing and selling the destination in assigned markets followed by managing and coordinating all client needs up to and during the event. This includes site inspections, accommodations, supplier/vendor contacts, identifying and connection with potential sponsors and any other services needed to insure a successful event and client relationship.Services component; This includes management of logistical and budgetary responsibilities for sporting events, festivals, weddings, social gatherings, meetings and conferences. Developed new services program that resulted in three nationally known sporting events brought to Loudoun County with an average of 2,000 - 5,000 participants and greatly increased economic impact to the county.Planned, directed and executed all aspects of Visit Loudoun Annual Meetings exceeding sponsorship dollar goals and attendance year after year.Supervise Visit Loudoun Visitors Center staff and operations.

To promote Loudoun VA: DC's Wine Country and Visit Loudoun services to the community through cooperative advertising campaigns, membership, and sponsorship opportunities, through community relations. Coordinated Visit Loudoun cooperative marketing initiatives and advertising sales. Served as liaison for Visit Loudoun members by educating about the marketing programs and sales leads, while providing customer service to help make partnership a success. Recruit and retain businesses members by conducting regular site visits and supervising the membership correspondence process from invoice to renewals. Updating of Visit Loudoun database and listing descriptions for members which would provide the information for the consumer and group website.Planned, directed and executed all aspects of Visit Loudoun Annual Meetings exceeding sponsorship dollar goals year after year. Planned, directed and executed several fundraisers including cocktail receptions with silent & live auctions and golf tournaments. Efforts soliciting sponsors, donations and attendees raised over 50k over three years for the Visit Loudoun Foundation Scholarship program.Coordinated and participated in sales and marketing efforts for leisure and culinary shows including The Food & Wine Festival at National Harbor, New York Times Travel Show, The Metropolitan Cooking Show, International Food & Wine Festival Ronald Reagan Buildiing and several smaller local events.
