Based in the commercial office at Crieff Hydro, I am the Cluster Revenue Manager for 4 of the family hotels. Peebles Hydro Hotel, the Park Hotel in Peebles and The Ballachulish Hotel and Isles of Glencoe Hotel on the West Coast.My key responsibilities include • Preparing budgets for all 4 hotels on a yearly basis and 3 month forecasts every month.• Running and analysing management reports, sharing forecasts, budgets, business on the books and expected pick up with the general managers.• Manage room inventory for all rooms and rate types and maintain channel manager for online travel agents.• Managing rate and promotional rate building in collaboration with the operation teams.• Checking and flexing rates recognise trends and taking action dependant on results. • Building relationships with all departments to provide the best year on year results for all revenue outlets.

My hands on role as Front of House manager involved managing reception, day porters, the night team, duty hosts and the transport department.Dealing with guests and staff concerns and helping to bring this to a mutually satisfactory conclusion.Recruitment, training and appraisals, staff wellbeing and managing rotas to budgets.Developing the team for succession providing guidance and performance management.Setting up new systems and procedures to ensure accuracy, guest satisfaction and maximising revenue opportunities and facilitate the smooth running of each shift.

Progressed through the company starting as Purchase ledger at the Crieff head office before moving to Callander as a general assistant, checkout manager then moving back to Crieff to help open the new store and take on the role of cashier & assistant manager before getting my own store in Aberfeldy in 1995. Managing staff and their wellbeing, recruitment, training, rotas and appraisals Ordering stock, managing fresh goods with minimal wastage, within food hygiene and all other legislation. Merchandising shelves to maximise selling opportunities and organising key areas for promotions. Preparing budgets and managing all paperwork in a diligent manner, exceeding monthly targets.
