I have been a family child care owner for 8 years. I teach because I feel that childhood is something very precious and short that everyone experiences and those experiences can have a positive or negative effect on a person's life. I believe that children should be given every opportunity to succeed and this is why I run my family child care home because I want to provide those positive experiences that they may not get elsewhere. I believe that children learn through hands-on, child-directed activities and free play. Through hands-on experiences, children will acquire a love of learning and understand concepts more in depth. When children gain a love of learning, they can reach their goals and beyond
