Wendy recently served as a BG Associate leading Community & Civic Affairs initiatives. She is a native Austinite (now referred to as a unicorn) and a proud graduate of the University of Texas at Austin where she received a B.S. in Communication and Leadership & was the first student to graduate from the Moody Honors Program. 🤘🏼Wendy previously worked as a field organizer for two local campaigns and was the Civics Director for the Austin Chapter of the National Organization for Women. In 2019, she interned in the office of Senator Judith Zaffirini (D-Laredo) and also served as a College Student Commissioner for the City of Austin. She graduated from the Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders and is a Boys & Girls Club alumni and their 2017 Youth of the Year State Finalist. In her spare time, Wendy volunteers with organizations like the 4ATX Foundation (Austin FC's non-profit arm) as a coach for their Verde Leaders program. She is actively involved with the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and is a recent Hispanic Austin Leadership (HAL) program alumni. Wendy also enjoys photography, modeling, traveling, and biking around Lady Bird Lake. She is a native Spanish speaker.
