Financial Accountant
Current• Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements on a regular basis (monthly, quarterly, annually) according to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).• Recording Transactions: Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and timely in the accounting system. • Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, accounts receivable, and accounts payable to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.• Analysis: Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights to management for decision-making purposes. This may include variance analysis, profitability analysis, and forecasting.• Assist in the set up and maintenance of a ERP system for inventory management.• Cash flow management: Prepare inventory forecasts, financial models, and budgets with a primary emphasis on optimizing cash flow management.• Manage foreign currency exposure to mitigate risks associated with fluctuating exchange rates.• Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards. Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and implement necessary changes to accounting practices and procedures.• Auditing: Assist in external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial transactions and procedures.• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts by providing financial data and analysis to support the planning process.• Taxation: Assist in preparing tax returns and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. This may include calculating and remitting taxes such as income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax.• Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to assess the financial health and performance of the organization. This may involve analyzing key financial ratios, trends, and benchmarks against industry standards.
