Provide strategic leadership and oversight within the Infractions Appeals Process and Independent Accountability Resolution Process.-- Infractions Appeals Committees Office (IACO): Establish strategic direction, create a collaborative environment and supervise a team of two full-time staff members, one extern and three contractors in support of the Infractions Appeals and Independent Accountability Resolution Processes.-- Infractions Appeals Process: Provide strategic leadership and oversight to ensure the Infractions Appeals Committees (all divisions) fulfill the mission to provide a meaningful, reliable and credible appeal opportunity, in accordance with NCAA legislation and procedures, that produces outcomes which have a positive impact on the infractions process and support the NCAA’s commitment to provide a fair and fulfilling competitive environment for student-athletes.-- Independent Accountability Resolution Process: Support the Independent Accountability Oversight Committee, Infractions Referral Committee and the Independent Resolution Panel.-- Independent Accountability Oversight Committee: Counsel regarding procedural issues, functioning of the various bodies in the Independent Accountability Resolution Process, the status of referral requests and the status of Independent Resolution Panel cases.

Legislation and Interpretation•Analyze NCAA legislation (for all three divisions) and interpretations to resolve issues. •Liaison (lead) to the Infractions Appeals Committees for Divisions I, II and III.Management/Personnel - Supervise assistant directors and administrative assistant. Identify tasks and duties as well as develop performance plans for direct reports.Liaison to General Counsel - Oversee membership services interaction with the general counsel of the NCAA. Identify issues that should be forwarded to the general counsel.Event Management- Creation and oversight of the GMERS Multicultural Program – design to enhance the culture of the GMERS business unit. - Oversight of the YES Clinics (Youth Education Through Sports) - the NCAA premier outreach to youth across the country.Other special projects as assigned by the Senior Vice-President of GMERS.

•Provided assistance in the following substantive areas: education, housing, divorce, custody, paternity, child support, healthcare, family offenses, orders of protection and public benefits for minors who are parenting and/or pregnant (Legal Assistance to Minor Parents Program). •Evaluated case merits, drafted documents, preformed legal research, managed an average caseload of 60-70 files, interviewed clients/witnesses, negotiated settlements and court representation. •Organized, facilitated and presented seminars on divorce, housing, landlord/tenant, paternity, child support and custody. •Developed and upgraded office’s computer system and usage, which improved efficiency and reduced expenses. •Member of the Geneva HeadStart Policy Council.
