Healthcare transformation is hard. My passion is helping to transform Canadian healthcare.I am a senior health systems executive bringing a unique combination of direct clinical operations experience, Health Ministry leadership (British Columbia/Ontario), and Big 4 consulting (EY). I have directed health service delivery and integration across large complex health care organizations, from 50 to 3,100 employees; $60M-$400M budgets across the full care continuum, ranging from large academic health systems to urban-rural networks of care. My leadership roles have encompassed teams supporting provincial policy development; digital tech and innovation; and care delivery of acute & long term care, mental health & addictions, public health, primary care and community-based services, partnering with numerous Municipalities, Academic institutions and Indigenous communities. I have a passion for bringing innovative real-world solutions to complex problems, with a proven track record of linking strategy to execution to create equitable and better care, improving health service delivery. With a recognized ability to connect and inspire divergent groups, I build trust and cultivate strategic collaborative relationships--to create a new health ecosystem to tackle some of healthcare’s toughest challenges. As a Founding member of Canada’s Digital Technology Supercluster, I built collaborative partnerships across public-private sectors to advance solutions in big data/precision health/connected care.The system has many barriers limiting our ability to drive new and innovative solutions. The problems are complex, requiring us to challenge our current thinking. As demonstrated throughout the pandemic, solutions lie in our ability to build bold collaboration across patients/families, communities, providers, entities, partners, and sectors - both public and private - to tackle the scale and complexity of challenges we face today in healthcare.The system needs to retain the gains and learnings made while challenging the status quo. In response, we must be forward-thinking and strategic. Have the courage to drive the disruption through to fruition.I work with organizations and governments to tackle the scale and complexity of challenges we are facing today to drive innovative responses to complex problems and build collaboration across entities and partners.
