IMBA is a non-profit educational association whose mission is to create, enhance and preserve great trail experiences for mountain bikers worldwide. I managed IMBA’s on-line marketing tool for corporate supporters involved in mountain bike tourism, (www.imba.com/destinations). I cultivated relationships with IMBA’s major donors and corporate members and sponsors, coordinating joint events, promotions, and projects. Under my charge, IMBA’s number of tourism industry supporters has grew from 29 to over 100 companies. I also operated IMBA’s web-store (www.imba.com/catalog) including all ordering, inventory, website management, and marketing.

Conducted research interviews, developed the website and led the production of six manuals on renewable energy practices for the tourism industry, orchestrating the collaboration of several project partners and 33 case-study participants from the tourism industry (www.renewabletourism.com).

Managed the office, maintained the website, produced an on-line newsletter, and provided member services. Represented the HEA at international ecotourism events throughout the United States and Canada. Certification Committee Chair (2005): designed a system to measure the sustainability of HEA members. Ecotourism Definition Workshop (2004 – 2005): represented HEA on the Hawaii Tourism Authority committee to determine the official definition for 'ecotourism' in Hawaii. Website Committee Chair (2005): spearheaded the creation of the new www.hawaiiecotourism.org website, to facilitate increased memberships and donations from outside the industry. Planning Committee (2005): identified organizational priorities, project leaders, and timelines. Public Relations Chair (2002): solicited cooperative marketing partnerships and worked with the local print and radio media to promote the organization as well as its tour operator members.www.hawaiiecotourism.org

Developed & conducted marine conservation educational programs for student & tourist groups

In addition to guiding potential and existing guests to a trip they were sure to love, I crafted itineraries, coordinated with travel partners, prepared pre-trip documents, and led sustainable educational trips throughout the Pacific Islands.

Lead mountain-biking & sea-kayaking trips throughout Costa Rica. Organized the logistics, sought community support, and solicited volunteers for the first Annual "La Vuelta de la Soledad", an 83 km mountain-bike race through various remote communities in north-eastern Costa Rica (http://www.adventureracingcostarica.com/soledad.html).

Ensured an excellent guest experience at Breckenridge Ski Resort by providing information via phone in the sales office as well as in person, helping people find there way around the mountain, checking in/out their skis, or looking for lost items.
