I am a board certified appellate attorney experienced in products liability, personal injury, and medical malpractice defense. I represent manufacturers of multiple products including automobiles, chemicals, medical and pharmaceutical products, and various types of equipment. In that capacity, I have extensive experience working on legal issues of national significance including crashworthiness doctrine, design defect, comparative fault, liability of non parties, the use and scope of expert testimony, the seat belt defense, warnings, punitive damages, and class actions.In the area of medical malpractice, I have addressed key issues concerning causation, liability of non parties, and excessiveness of damages. In addition to traditional appellate work in state and federal courts, my practice includes extensive participation at the trial court level. My role includes general trial strategy, preparation I routinely attend trials to argue these motions and jury charges. I also handle the post trial briefing and argument. I am board certified in Appellate Law by The Florida Bar. I also am a Fellow in the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers, an organization whose membership is limited to 500 members and is by invitation only. I am admitted to practice in Florida and Minnesota.
