With my technical skills and ability to work with people, I was given the opportunity to develop the position. • I created a standard template, complete with wiring diagrams, floorplans and product specifications for the installation of Audio-Visual equipment in auditorium type rooms where Zoom was used for 2-way meetings. This included the integration of cameras, sound, projectors and external monitors. o I managed multiple contractors installing these systems in various countries such as South Africa, Zimbabwe and Botswana, and prepared the work to be contracted in Madagascar, Mozambique and Namibia before I left to relocate to Australia. o I prepared training material and trained staff to use the equipment and do basic fault finding. • I trained Facilities Managers to ensure and improve the technology equipment at church meetinghouses according to the organization's global standards. • With a team, coordinate, setup, and execute various large live virtual and hybrid meetings at venues in various countries, including Mozambique, Madagascar, Angola, Zambia, South Africa - at times with complete AV requirements which included audio and video mixers, cameras, projectors, comfort monitors and overflow rooms.This role was set as a new position in our area to trial and see if it will work in other areas. A basic job description existed and needed to be fleshed out. Initially it was a 3-year assignment, becoming permanent thereafter. - Resigned to relocate to Australia.
