After witnessing the limitations and sometimes tragic consequences of constrained traditional healthcare roles, my desire for broader impact led me to further pursue my education.My educational journey transitioned from a focus on healthcare to a broader perspective on public health, with a Master of Public Health (MPH). This shift allowed me to appreciate the multifaceted nature of healthcare beyond hospital walls, inspiring a commitment to improve universal patient access to health technologies. I subsequently pursued a Master's in Health Science (MHSc) with an emphasis on leveraging health innovation to improve patients' health.My career has been marked by a consistent dedication to improving access to health technologies worldwide. This mission has been fuelled by personal experiences, such as the critical healthcare challenges faced during my wife's complicated pregnancy. These experiences reinforced my belief in the necessity of equitable healthcare access and the potential of innovative health technologies to save and improve lives.Professional experiences further shaped my trajectory. From global specialist market access roles in the industry, I transitioned into market access consulting role to have a more direct influence on availability of health technologies, and I ended-up leading global market access departments.After acquiring an Executive MBA (EMBA) in Entrepreneurship & Business Development, I built my own consulting business "Eric WERY Market Access Consulting" where I have been using my considerable experience to advance global market access excellence.
