Led Prodea Systems' internet consumer appliance development team.

Formed and Managed the Prodea Systems System Engineering and Operational Architecture Team. This team is responsible for capacity, performance and reliability analysis of Prodea Systems’ products and operational architecture initiatives.

Senior Principal Architect for Nortel Networks’ Global System for Mobile communication (GSM) and Universal Mobile Telephony System (UMTS) SGSN Product and Nortel Networks' Long Term Evolution (LTE) strategy providing overall architectural guidance to 150 designers and architects.

Performed feature, reliability, capacity, and performanceanalysis for potential OEM vendors for UMTS/GSM MediaGateways and Soft Switches.Specified requirements and high level design for the nextgeneration Voice Services Processor (VSP) board usingTI Janus DSPs. High level design covered VoIP, VoATM,H.248 processing, DSP control, DSP patching, DSPdebugging.

Capacity, performance, reliability and overload prime for thewireless gateway. Performed analysis and consulting tomeasure and improve the UMTS Wireless Gateway'sperformance.Circuit core base platform prime. Interfaced and coordinatedefforts with 2 international sites. Analysis and high level design to port part of the Wireless Gateway software to a PPC.

Managed a 12 member team developing the circuit part of Nortel Networks' UMTS Core Network. Specified and implemented the signaling path (MTP3b, SCCP, RANAP) and implemented the CODEC controller. Under aggressive schedules and narrow time to market windows, the team met the alpha, beta, and product deliverable milestones.

Managed a highly motivated and creative 15 member embedded software design team. Led development of a complete GPRS test platform using Dell PC’s, Force PPC750 VME boards, Force MPC860 PowerQUICC PMC running Linux and VxWorks. Developed test heads include Gb, Gr, Gn, and Gi.

Initial development of a Software API and inter-processor communication for the ‘Softband Radio’ product using the Harris HSP50214 and HSP50215 chip set.

Managed a 12 member embedded software design team. Led development of Data VME/PMC based test platform that implements ITU V.110 (RA0, RA1, and RA2), GSM V.110', GSM 14.4k, and the MSC/IWF interface (UDP). This solution provided for load testing, call monitoring, and inter-working with the other MSC/IWF interfaces. The solution used the Force Power PC 604.

As design lead, wrote initial functional requirements and highlevel design for GSM's Automation Platform (GAP). Program prime on the development of the MTP server and ISUP test head written in C++ for UNIX and VxWorks.

Tested Northern Telecom's DMS-100 based GSM/PCS-1900 MSC. Wrote test strategies and automated test cases to test the network and BSS GSM interfaces. Gained in-depth knowledge of GSM specifications as well as TUP, ISUP, R2 and American MF.
