Direct the creation and management of both Operational and Capital Budgets for Residential Manufacturing. Utilize an array of tools in our “Operational Excellence” tool box to drive continuous improvement in the division. Provide oversight and recommendations for optimizing product flows through the supply chain. Responsible for maintaining and reporting capacity and utilization levels through each segment of our supply chain. Assist Manufacturing Directors on project planning and implementation. Coordinate divisional reporting and ensure measurement standardization. Coordinate costing guidelines. Coordinate raw material cost and standards for the company. Troubleshoot systems as needed. Oversee preparation of variance projections. Special project analysis and recommendations. Coordinate response to various Management requests. Provide systems support as needed. Provide training on Financial and Costing Reports, Operational Excellence Tools (e.g. work measurement, work sampling, 5S, SMED, six sigma, etc.), Savings calculations, Budgets, etc. Provide business requirements to the various IS / CIMS groups to enhance existing systems and for the creation of new systems.

Manage dispatch operations and staff which include 3 Salaried supervisors, 6 Office Staff and 231 Professional Drivers. Responsible for managing and implementing driver policy’s and procedures. Support transportation programs and training that promote safety. Understand, support, make recommendations and drive the implementation of the constantly advancing technology in use today in the transportation industry. Responsible for improving efficiency to meet specific requirements of Shaw plants and customers. Be knowledgeable of the companies practices of using Six Sigma to make current processes and new process more productive for the operation of Interplant Transportation.

Responsible for all functions related to both Interplant Transportation and Fleet Services efficiency, cost, and quality of service. To manage and direct projects assigned by the Manager of Interplant Transportation. To provide support and relief for the managers and supervisors in IPLT and Fleet Services.

Responsible for the establishment and the administration of the approved corporate capital budget. This includes responsibility for capital project administration as it relates to consistent and proper application of corporate policies and generally accepted accounting treatments by all parties involved in the capital project management process. Provide the necessary maintenance and training to company personnel for effective utilization of systems and procedures related to capital budget and project administration. Supervise the following positions. Project Administration Clerk – Hourly, Project Accounting Clerk – Hourly

Responsible for all development projects. Analyze costs from the inception through the completion of the project. Other duties included maintaining the general ledger for all development projects, A/P, A/R, preparing partnership tax returns, cash projections, annual budgets, monthly financial statements, cost reports and working closely with the Controller and CFO on special projects.
