In my role as Science Officer at ICARS, I was responsible for managing and coordinating various demonstration projects aimed at addressing antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs). My responsibilities included:Project Management:Led and co-led the project management of the Ghana environmental project, focusing on AMR-related environmental interventions.Led the project management of the China animal health project, ensuring alignment with ICARS’ AMR strategies.Co-led projects in Kosovo, Cambodia, Kyrgyzstan, and Pakistan, providing strategic, operational and scientific guidance and overseeing project delivery.Guideline Development: Co-led and coordinated the development of the Responsive Dialogue Guideline project, funded by Wellcome Trust and contracted to the University of Western Cape Town.Key Achievements:Developed the Expression of Interest (EOI) Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for ICARS to streamline project submissions.Co-developed project proposals for Kosovo and Pakistan, contributing to successful project initiation and funding.Organized the AMR Book Launch in collaboration with Roskilde University, highlighting key research on antimicrobial resistance.Contributed to both external and internal organizational reviews of ICARS, helping to refine strategies and operational practices.Arranged multiple webinars and workshops, facilitating knowledge exchange on AMR topics.Developed the Theory of Change (TOC) for the Behavior Scientists' Roster at ICARS, enhancing the integration of social and behavioral sciences into AMR interventions.

As a Project Coordinator, I was responsible for conducting After Action Reviews (AAR) across multiple European countries, focusing on evidence-based decision-making and advice provision. This role involved engaging with key stakeholders and supporting high-level reviews of public health decision-making processes.Workshop Facilitation & Stakeholder Engagement:Led workshops with high-level stakeholders from health agencies within the European Union to facilitate knowledge exchange and review decision-making strategies.Process Analysis:Analyzed the decision-making processes of public institutions, identifying strengths and areas for improvement, and provided evidence-based recommendations.Reporting:Compiled and reported findings to both the donor and the country under study, ensuring clear communication of results and action points.Project Management Support:Managed and assisted senior consultants throughout the project’s implementation, contributing to project planning, execution, and monitoring.Deliverable Management:Ensured the on-time delivery of all project outputs, adhering to project budgets and maximizing resource efficiency.

By establishing my own company, I gained the abilities to work independently and implement projects and deliver products to the contractors and partners within time.It gave me the possibility to manage a company from a strategical to operational level, manage conflicts, communicate the strategy with employees, create short-term wins and deal with financial and administrative tasks. During this work periode I have faced alot of challenges as the partner and contractors were located in conflict zones, it was tough to deal with daily operations and deliveries. Role: Working with the Quest, I was able to create a network of 32000 active youth who could in a binary and face-to-face approach transfer trainings within the network to give the youth the ability and motivate them to create their own visions, goals and dare them to dream in order to find their burning desires and help them create small businesses for becoming self-reliant and self-supporting.Responsibilities:- Develop new ideas to attract youth in the system- Mange daily activities of the networks in different locations such as Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran and India- Develop new products which would boost local economies and help the networks to market them- Engage with local government authorities for creating a mutual understanding and solving tax issues- Train youth on online marketing and binary network marketing methods- Train youth members techniques and importance of team work, mental strength and goal-oriented social and business life plans

Developed report writing skills, conducting interviews and collecting data during conflict and uncertain situations. Plan and manage travels to sensitive conflict affected geographies. Results: 4 years of continuous reporting from Afghanistan and raising public awareness about the conflict in Afghanistan, while exposing major setbacks in the Afghanistan intervention to protect locals and international populations engaged in the intervention.
