For over 30 years, Wes has served as an Airport Planner in the aviation industry from various perspectives. Wes has experience with numerous airport construction and development projects throughout the U.S. and overseas. He brings with him a solid background and knowledge of airline and airport planning, operations and project management.Wes recently moved to CAGE, Inc. where he will use his knowledge to expand the firm’s airport planning business. In addition, he will serve as Project Manager on a variety of baggage handling projects where he will be responsible for systems design, procurement and installation and testing.At American Airlines for 21 years, Wes served as Senior Airport Planner where he was responsible for all aspects of the airline’s gate facilities and airfield development. His responsibilities included the development of all aircraft parking plans, terminal planning and airfield improvement technical and construction reviews. He served as project manager on numerous multi-million dollar projects including planning, project definition, cost estimates, contract negotiations, equipment procurement and construction support; working as the liaison between contractors, consultants and airport and other regularity authorities. He was also responsible for reviewing and evaluating airfield capacity studies, including the development and implementation of airfield capacity enhancements. His expertise includes a knowledge of passenger loading bridges, 400 Hz and Preconditioned Air (PCA) equipment and automated aircraft docking systems, where he negotiated national contracts and purchased and installed this equipment for the airline.
