Partners closely with Box’s product, engineering, trust and safety, marketing, public policy, and go-to-market teams to provide legal guidance and risk mitigation strategies for products and features at all stages of the product lifecycle across multiple jurisdictions.Advises on product and feature development to meet customer legal, regulatory, and compliance needs with a particular focus on AI/ML, governance and compliance products, security, and developer/platform APIs.Leads Box’s Security, Legal, and Compliance (SLC) review function, overseeing SLC program management and serving as the legal touchpoint for the build, product, and marketing organizations to obtain security, legal, privacy, and compliance guidance, reviews, and approvals for new products and feature changes.Crisis and Incident Management. Serves as a Product Legal lead representative on Box’s core Crisis Team, advising company leadership on remediation, communication, and risk mitigation strategies in response to high-stakes security issues, product incidents, and escalations.

Represented clients in high-stakes lawsuits and appeals with a particular focus on IP (copyright and trademark), digital media, defamation/libel, intermediary liability, and other content-based media disputes. Conducted prepublication vetting and content review; drafted and negotiated commercial agreements, including terms of use, privacy policies, and licensing agreements. Provided newsroom counseling and trainings on emerging issues in IP, First Amendment, and media law. Advocated on behalf of technology, media, and entertainment clients before the Texas Legislature, Office of the Attorney General, and other state and local government bodies regarding First Amendment, free speech, anti-SLAPP, defamation, and other issues impacting internet, technology, and media companies across Texas.

Handled a wide range of commercial litigation matters, including multi-district consumer class-action litigation, shareholder derivative lawsuits, and complex financial services litigation.

Litigated disputes focusing on securities and financial services, advertising and commercial speech regulations, and media, free speech, and the First Amendment.
