Projects* Halo water vortices, City Center Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas, NV * Team lead for a multidisciplinary group assigned to create 32 different water vortex devices. * Created 2” diameter liquid light pipes as a solution to high cost fiber optics. * Performed thermodynamic studies of heat effects due to lighting within water basins * Performed FEA, force analysis, and structural analysis on designs. * Designed complex sheet metal support structures. * Managed the project timeline.* Burj Khalifa Fountain, Dubai, UAE * Redesigned 500 W submersible halogen light for easier maintenance, servicing, and UL compliance. * Worked with bulb manufacturers to create a specialized bulb to absorb more shock. * Designed/Developed pneumatically actuated fog delivery system. * Designed/Developed sheet metal lighting fixtures. * Served as a field engineer for 4 months in Dubai under the Burj Khalifa. * Handled all UL related maintenance, requirements, and new product submissions.
