Restructured a new hybrid program delivery model for career exploration and mentorships to accommodate school and work climates post-COVID-19. Directly supervised three Program staff members; supporting their training, professional development, and ongoing duties and responsibilities. Wrote and organized a new curriculum for Spark’s career exploration and mentorship programs; resulting in over 50 lesson plans and over 600 minutes of instructional time. Built and strengthened partnerships across all five Spark partner schools, developed new partnerships with other community-based organizations, and supported the Program team in the delivery of Spark curriculum and culture at schools.

Partnered with the Development team to raise over 10% ($800,000+) of annual funds through gathering data and collecting testimonials in partnership with corporate sponsors and foundations. Supported with event coordination and production management for multiple annual site fundraisers to raise over $3.1M towards the annual fundraising goal. Co-planned and facilitated multiple cultivation site visits and volunteer engagement events with Development staff, corporate partners, and major donors.

Planned and coordinated plenary sessions for the 2019 Impact Summercharger conference in Boston, MA; a week-long conference resulting in over 500 participants in attendance. Worked with Production Team to prepare all media components for each plenary session, reach out and prepare speakers and presenters, and coordinate with the Community Activities Director and the Senior Vice President of City Year in hosting overall conference logistics and details. Created technology scripts, speaker briefings, lighting cues, sound cues, staging production management, and oversaw all details regarding each plenary session of the Impact Summercharger conference. Managed the seven 3-hr. plenary sessions through coordinating program cues for lighting, sound, visual media, and staging with both the City Year Production Team and the in-house Boston University Technical Production Team.

Served a second full-service term over 11-months with City Year San José/Silicon Valley at Horace Cureton Elementary School. Managed the federally-funded after-school program for 105 elementary-school students and oversaw the implementation of the STEAM curriculum. Led a diverse team of eight AmeriCorps members to tutor 72 elementary-school students in literacy, with 60% of students reaching grade-level proficiency. Provided intensive training and coaching to eight AmeriCorps members on student data and analysis for literacy interventions, specific strategies to implement during social-emotional learning appointments with students, and techniques and teaching strategies to most effectively independently lead a classroom of elementary students. Maintained and update databases in Salesforce, Youth Services, and other internal City Year databases. Acted as an interim manager and liaison between City Year and school administration on campus. Hosted multiple site visits from stakeholders, community partners, and future investors for City Year San José/Silicon Valley; worked closely with the Development team at City Year to showcase program metrics and validity.

Conducted small-group literacy sessions consisting of twelve below-grade-level students; focusing on vocabulary, fluency, comprehension, and writing skills. Led a class of twenty-eight students in the afterschool program; providing homework support and facilitating STEAM lessons through whole-class instruction. Collaborated with the administrative and teaching staff at the school site to help support student growth through in-classroom support, Social-Emotional Learning appointments with students, collaboration meetings with teaching staff, and substituting for teachers during their collaboration meetings. Acted as the team Data-Point Coordinator, which involved organizing the Mid-year and End-of-the-year DIBELS progress monitoring evaluations on literacy for all students grades 3-5 at the school site.
