As a finance and data science student at the Gies College of Business, I am passionate about the intersection of finance, statistics, and computer science. I am pursuing a computer science minor to complement my major and enhance my technical skills in data analysis and modeling.I recently completed an internship as a Data Analyst at Purdue University Daniels School of Business, where I worked on a project to predict undergraduate starting salaries using multiple linear regression. I performed comprehensive data collection, merging, and analysis on six datasets (1M+ lines) using Tableau Prep Builder, Excel, and Pandas. I also developed a Tableau Dashboard and a report with actionable recommendations for the Enterprise Data Corps team. Through this experience, I improved my proficiency in deriving meaningful insights from complex data and communicating them effectively.In my remaining college years, I am eager to continue exploring data science and its financial applications through clubs and internships. I am also interested in learning more about machine learning, artificial intelligence, and blockchain, and how they can transform the financial industry. I am motivated by the challenges and opportunities that data science offers, and I aspire to become a data-driven finance professional.
