The second practicum project in my masters was with La Innovation Kitchen, an educational workshop and program branch of Design Thinkers Spain. They wanted to know how to engage and attract working professionals interested in learning innovation skills. Our process began with identifying and interviewing personas, speaking with experts and immersing ourselves in educational events. We spent time with our client and mapped out their current business and marketing activities in orderto understand their needs and goals. We invited potential users to co-creation workshops and tested out marketing engagement strategies. Over the course of our research, we discoveredmany variables effecting La Innovation Kitchen’s efforts to reach their ideal customer-- requiring multiple divergent and covergent exploration phases. This led to a multi-sided set of recommendations and strategies for cornering the professional education market.

A hands-on practicum aspect of my master's program in Barcelona involved working with fellow graduate students and a local company to solve a timely business challenge. Our team was tasked by Reimagine Food to identify the "top food biohacking trends in Europe." Using a combination of net hunting, street hunting, influencer analysis, expert interviews, personas, user diaries and historical mapping, we were able to identify 8 trends and three scenario opportunities for future investment.
