April joined Wilmington Trust Bank with more than a decade of experience in Human Resources, as VP, Learning and Development and HR Director. Prior to joining Wilmington Trust, she was a Performance Consultant for Munich Re America in Princeton, New Jersey, and also managed the training function for BISYS Group Inc. Earlier in her career, April worked in several Human Resources functions at First Union/CoreStates Bank and as a Public Affairs Specialist for the Department of Defense. She also has vast experience in event planning for offsite meetings and conferences for groups from 50 – 200.April holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Communications from Chestnut Hill College and has successfully completed studies in Cornell University’s Human Resources Program and ASTD Human Performance Improvement Institute. She recently completed her MBA/Marketing degree at Drexel University. April also holds certification as an instructor/facilitator for Achieve Global, DDI, Blessing White Leadership Programs, Crucial Conversations, Predictive Index, Hogan and Benchmarks 360 Degree Feedback coaching.In the community, April has leveraged her expertise to review HR practices and facilitate strategic planning sessions for organizations such as Read Aloud Delaware, Opera Delaware and Urban League of Philadelphia. She is currently a board member for Camp Jamison.
