Responsible for executing the Chemical Process Safety program at the mill level, exceeding RMP and PSM regulations. Experience of the following covered processes: chlorine dioxide, methanol, turpentine, sodium hydroxide, sulfuric acid, hydrogen peroxide, sodium hydrosulfide, non-condensable gases, and natural gas.

Responsible for leading an optimization group of ~10 process and process control engineers to meet operations excellence goals. Included talent development of entry level engineers in multiple fields of study. Extensive use of PI and ParcView data analytic tools.

Responsible for daily operations of the Line 8 pulp mill: continuous digesting, knotting, screening, washing, oxygen delignification, bleaching, and turpentine by-product operations. Experience of specific equipment including Kamyr digester, pressure diffusers, O2D reactors, vacuum drum washers, atmospheric diffusers, and wash presses.

Responsible for daily operations of the Chemical Preparation plant: three chlorine dioxide (ClO2) generators, two ClO2 scrubber systems, and chemical unloading/make-down of sulfuric acid, methanol, sodium chlorate, and sodium hydroxide. Responsible for meeting DOT, FRA, RMP, PSM, and CPS regulations of the plant.

Responsible for process engineering support of the Woodyard, Pulp Mill, Recaust, Chemical Preparation, and Product Unit. Focused on specific training for future manufacturing engineer role over the Chemical Preparation plant.
